The Technical Talk was organised by department of CSE on 18th of June 2015 at the first Block Auditorium,CHRIST (Deemed to be University) Faculty of Engineering, Kengeri Campus. All semesters BTech and MTech students of CSE along with faculty members were part of the talk. It was an interesting, informative and interactive session conducted by Mr. Rohit Yadhati, Sales & Marketing Manager of Microsoft Technologies partner Edu-kinect.The session started with a questionnaire to the crowd on education and career perspectives. Speaker started explaining about the transformation of user needs in to a software solution by using latest technology in order to live life better.  

He also gave a brief information onDreamSpark – an open source software, its contents, opportunities and about www.microsoftvirtualacademy.com with the prospectsMicrosoft provides to empower lives. Then he talked about the annual competition held by Microsoftthe Imagine Cup, where almost 32 countries come together to participate and exhibit their innovation. Mr. Rohit was very keen in drawing the attention from students elucidating the wonders that apps can do to solve many day to day problems. He gave an open invitation to students on a one week workshop ‘Yappon’ which constitutes hands on programming with certification.

Prof. Balachandran Head of the Department CSE presented a memento for the guest as a token of respect and appreciation. The talk concluded with an intense question-answer session, in which many of the students received a chance to interact with guest speaker. This conscience was of immense help to the students.Indeed, this talk was yet another successful and evocative event conducted by dept. of CSE.
